Celebrate life outside with Botanical Sunscreens
Here's the scoop! Sunscreens can use two different types of UV filters to protect skin against sun damage: Mineral and Chemical. These filters are differentiated by their active sun protection ingredients. Classic sunscreens, also commonly referred to as “traditional”, use active ingredients that protect the skin by absorbing the sun's rays. They are often referred to as chemical absorbers. Mineral sunscreens use mineral active ingredients, also known as “physical blockers”, that sit on top of the skin to deflect and scatter UVA and UVB rays. Common mineral active ingredients are Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide.
